Golf Genius is very easy to use and most of our players are familiar with it.
Each week, at least one member of your foursome must have Golf Genius available on their phone.
If you need help, please ask another golfer, the weekly host or a member of the Committee.
To download:
Search for Golf Genius on your favorite app store. Look for the Golf Genius Logo. Download the app.
Create a user ID and Password. Use the email address that you used when joining Golf and Burgers.
Several weeks before the season, you will see Golf and Burgers listed in Your Events:
On Golf Day, click on Golf and Burgers in the Your Events list. You will see a selection of tasks.
The most popular task is ENTER SCORES. The application is very easy to use - don't overthink it.
You can also see the Tee Sheets, Leaderboard, Member Portal and Log Out
It's ok to explore and click around.
Play Day Process
Golf Genius
We use the Golf Genius app to manage weekly play including registration, pairings, scoring and results.
Download the app using your favorite AppStore. Search for Golf Genius and look for this logo. Create a user id and password. If you are a BVPOA member, use the same email.
Our hosts can help you with the setup.
Play Day Process
You will receive an email about 2 weeks prior to each play date reminding you to sign-up to play. Click the link if you are playing or not playing.
You will receive one email for golf and a separate one for dinner.
Every confirmed player will receive an email. You will get one and so will your partner. This includes instructions on how to sign up a non-playing dinner guest.
You can always go to the Golf Genius Member Portal to change your sign up response.
On Tuesday in the week that we play you will receive a reminder text. Change your sign up status if needed.
Pairings are made by the committee and posted on Golf Genius, with a copy sent to all players on the Friday before we play.
Check to be sure you are playing/not playing as you expected. If you need to make a change, send an email to golfandburgers@gmail.com or call the weekly administrator on the Pairings.
No Playing Partner? Not to worry. We create pairings based on who signs up.
Weather Cancellations: Cancellation for weather is made by 11:00 am. It will be posted on the website, you will receive an email and called by the weekly host. Unless you are contacted, plan to be at the course on time prepared to play.
Cancellations for other Reasons: I you need to cancel, contact the host for the week or one of our Administrators. Their name/number can be found on the website, on your invitation to play and on the pairings sheet. Please call as soon as you know you won't be able to play.
NOTE: In most cases, we order off of the menu for dinner. If there is a day when there is a special meal or caterer, no cancellations accepted for eating, after the Wednesday before our play date. If, for some reason you can't make it, please make arrangements for a carry out. After Wednesday, you will be responsible for paying for your dinners whether you eat or not.
